Overview: Our Bigs In Schools (in school mentoring) program is an easy and rewarding way to get involved with a child. It allows volunteer mentors (Bigs) to share time with a child (Little) in their school during the school-day. For one hour a week – during the school year – Bigs meet with their Little following the 20-20-20 rule: 20 minutes of getting to know each other and catching up, 20 minutes of school work, and 20 minutes of free time. Matches do not meet over the summer break or during other school holidays. In addition to friendship and overall support, Bigs in Schools focuses on literacy and homework help.
