City Lumber owner Robert Rosen is passionate about the arts…and about creating hope in our community’s kids.  Following up on a similar event in 2012, Mr. Rosen wanted to again bring together children and the arts community and did so in a big way on December 22nd.  More than 100 kids from BGCBigs and their families and mentors enjoyed time experiencing the holiday season with art, music and expression and most importantly, caring leaders – who came together to make sure our kids are inspired this season.

On receiving an invitation to the event, one Mom shared “Thank you soooo much! So nice to have such good news despite our hardships this Christmas.  At least you guys have given my children something to enjoy this year. With our new baby and me losing my job and taking care of three children on my own with one in grade 12, its been really hard and so stressful.  Music is such a great stress reliever for us. So from the bottom of my heart…. Thank you!!!”

We are truly blessed to have friends like Mr. Rosen, City Lumber, CKUA, Winspear Centre, Art Gallery of Alberta, Edmonton Opera and Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, to share their traditions and experiences with us.

Whatever your religion, culture and customs, we wish you the very best for a wonderful holiday season and an inspired year ahead.
