On May 2nd, some of our BGCBIG club kids banded together and dropped off some non-perishable items to the food bank.

After dropping off the food they had collected, the kids received a tour of the warehouse learning how everything operates and in doing so received a certificate from the Edmonton Food Bank for their contribution!

Spring is always a difficult time for the Edmonton Food Bank. This year was no exception — the Edmonton Food Bank was very low on donations, and the demand was high. When compared to the first quarter of 2019 to the first quarter of 2018, the food bank this year was down 30,000 kilograms of public food donations.

We are proud of our kiddos who stepped up to the challenge and helped the Edmonton Food Bank out this year!
