The Mill Woods Collab
A Partnered Program
The Mill Woods Collab (Collaborative) is a partnership (funded by the City of Edmonton) between BGCBigs, the Family Centre and Family Futures Resource Network.
Together, we provide a spectrum of supervised services, supports and outreach for youth ages 13 to 25 years old, living in the Mill Woods community.
About The Mill Woods Collab
Services are provided in Mill Woods Town Centre and Mill Woods Recreation Centre.
Hours of Operation:
- Mill Woods Town Centre (located at 2331 66 Street NW)
Monday through Wednesday from 2:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
- The Family Centre will also provide therapeutic support at the Mill Woods Recreation Centre (located at 7207 28 Ave NW) every Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., on the second floor in Room 209/Presidents Council Room
Partnered Services
BGCBigs provides:
- Employment readiness support, including resume development, interview preparation and workplace skills
- Career exploration and connections to potential work, volunteer and training opportunities
- Support with post-secondary planning, applications, scholarships and funding opportunities
- Individualized coaching and skill development to support education, employment, and future goals
The Family Centre provides:
- Drop-in and scheduled counselling support (Mill Woods Rec Centre)
- Healthy Relationship skill building
- Healing Circles
- Trauma-informed individual and group sessions (Mill Woods Town Centre)
Family Futures Resource Network provides individual and group support to:
- Listen and help with life challenges
- Provide referrals to community support and services
- Teach life skills such as managing stress and anxiety, communication skills, dealing with anger, problem-solving, setting goals, etc.
- Access physical and creative activities
