BGCBigs Clubs • A Good Place To Be

BGCBigs operates 9 drop-in Community Clubs that are safe and fun places for kids to go after school and during the summer. They provide kids with opportunities to connect with positive role models and peers, enjoy a healthy meal, and explore our core program areas: arts and culture, physical activity, health and nutrition, academic support, personal growth, empowerment, life skills, and leadership.

Our Clubs

The BGCBigs Africa Centre Club is a safe and fun place for children and youth to come hang out after school, during spring break and in the summer break. The club provides kids with opportunities to connect with positive role models and peers. Children and youth enjoy a healthy snack and meal while exploring our core program areas: academic support, arts and culture, physical activity, health and nutrition, personal growth, empowerment, life skills, and leadership. Through these programming; and with the club working on achieving academic excellence with our club members through our tutoring/academic programming, children and youth learn to engineer their future and reach their full potential. Plus, having access to a gym in the building; enable us to foster fun, interactive and engaging physical, arts and culture programs.

The program cost is FREE! For children and youth age 6 and 13. All you need to enroll in the club is for your parent(s)/guardian(s) to fill out our club membership form and bring it with you to the Club.

The club is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and on Thursdays from 12:00pm-5:00pm.

We are currently running our winter programming and they are:

  • Mondays: Tutoring/academic help; take it Easy and Bucket ball in the gym
  • Tuesdays: Tutoring/academic help, Zones of regulations, Torch club and gym time
  • Wednesdays: Tutoring/academic help, Afro quiz, bowling
  • Thursdays: Tutoring/academic help, Jr. Chef, Mile Zero Dance and gym Time
  • Fridays: Tutoring/academic help, African Drumming and Kids Choice
