Canadian Mental Health Week 2026: Supporting Youth to Feel Seen, Heard, and Supported
May 8, 2026
Creating safe spaces, meaningful connections, and support systems for youth to thrive
Canadian Mental Health Week takes place from May 4–10, 2026, and is an opportunity to highlight the importance of supporting mental health—especially for children and youth.
At BGCBigs, we are committed to creating safe, supportive environments where young people feel seen, heard, and valued.
Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is help someone feel seen, heard, and supported.

Talk to someone you trust
Through meaningful relationships and consistent support, youth are able to build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging.
Programs like our Community-Based Mentoring, In-School Mentoring, PRISM Program, and Club programs play an important role in supporting youth mental wellness. These programs provide safe spaces for connection, guidance, and personal growth—helping young people navigate challenges and develop skills for life.
Supporting the mental health of children and youth is more important than ever. Every young person deserves the opportunity to feel supported, build positive relationships, and develop the tools they need to cope with life’s everyday stresses.

Be kind to yourself
This Mental Health Week, we encourage everyone to take a moment to check in with themselves and those around them. Small actions can make a big difference.
