By 8:00 am on August 14, 2025, 144 golfers were loaded up in their carts along with their goodie bags and taking off to play a fun round of Texas style golf at Cougar Creek Golf Resort in support of BGC Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area (BGCBigs) annual fundraising tournament, Children First Golf Classic.

Putting the ‘fun’ in fundraising to support young people in our community

After enjoying good eats, drinks and extra games throughout the greens, golfers gathered to partake a delicious steak buffet in the club house, and had the opportunity to bid on some high value silent auction items such as a Sports Fun Basket and Staycation Basket with all proceeds in support of BGCBigs’ future Clubs and mentoring programs. And, if they were feeling extra generous, golfers made additional donations in support of BGCBigs.
